About NCAC

The National Capital Area Chapter of The Gesneriad Society is a group of gesneriad enthusiasts in the Washington, D.C. area.

“The purpose of the chapter shall be to afford a convenient and beneficial association of persons interested in gesneriads; to stimulate a widespread interest in the identification, correct nomenclature, culture, and propagation of gesneriads; and to encourage the origination and introduction of new cultivars.”

Meetings are usually held on the second Saturday of the month. Please check the website for details on upcoming meetings.

Membership dues for the DC area chapter are $10 per year per person.  Please email your name, address, and telephone number to dcgesneriads@gmail.com and we'll add your to our email distribution list.  Dues can be paid in cash at a meeting, or by check made out to "NCAC, The Gesneriad Society" and mailed to:
